Welcome to the Building Beyond You Forum 2026. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of our event registration website, located at www.buildingbeyondyouinstitute.com (the "Platform"), as well as your registration for and participation in the Building Beyond You Forum 2026 (the "Event" or "Forum").

Please read these Terms carefully before utilizing the Platform or submitting any event registrations. By accessing, browsing, or using the Platform, or by clicking to accept or agree to these Terms when the option is presented, you unconditionally accept and agree to be bound and abide by these Terms.

If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not access the Platform, submit registrations, or attend the Event.

For the purposes of these Terms, the following capitalized terms shall have the meanings defined below:

• "Institute" / "We" / "Us" / "Our" refers to the Building Beyond You Institute, the organizing body behind the Event, with principal operations in Nigeria and coordinate events across several African nations.
• "Event" / "Forum" refers to the Building Beyond You Forum 2026, a professional convening held across Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, Tanzania, and South Africa.
• "Attendee" / "You" / "Your" refers to any individual, executive, founder, CEO, or business representative registering for, intending to register for, or attending the Event.
• "Ticket" refers to the official registration receipt, issued in digital PDF format containing a unique, secure QR code, which must be presented for validation at the entry gate of the Event.
• "Platform" refers to the official event registration website, the associated APIs, backend databases, and validation systems hosted at www.buildingbeyondyouinstitute.com.

Registration for the Event is subject to the following structural policies:

• Verification Requirement: A submitted registration form does not guarantee admission. Your registration is considered complete, and a Ticket will only be issued, after the manual payment has been fully received, processed, and verified by our administrative team.
• Non-Transferability: Issued Tickets are personal to the designated Attendee. You may not sell, transfer, assign, or share your Ticket with another individual without receiving prior written approval from the Institute. Transfer requests must be sent to info@buildingbeyondyouinstitute.com at least forty-eight (48) hours before your scheduled local city event.
• Right of Refusal: The Institute reserves the absolute right to refuse, suspend, or cancel any registration, ticket issue, or entry to the Event at its sole administrative discretion.
• Ticket Pricing: All baseline Ticket prices are structured in Kenyan Shillings (KES) unless explicitly stated otherwise. The currency conversion displayed for other African countries (UGX, TZS, RWF, ZAR, NGN, USD) represents an estimated equivalent rate which may vary depending on mobile money network charges or administrative settings.
• Early Bird Availability: Early Bird ticket pricing is offered in limited quantities and is strictly subject to deadlines. Once the designated date or volume allocation passes, ticketing defaults automatically to Regular pricing without prior notification.

The Platform utilizes a manual payment confirmation system, requiring strict compliance with these terms:

• Designated Payment Channel: All manual registration payments must be made directly via M-Pesa (or designated partner local network integrations) to the authorized account number: +254 722 614 715.
• SMS Confirmation Text: Upon successful transaction completion, you must copy the complete, official M-Pesa transaction confirmation SMS text and paste it into the manual payment submission form on the Platform. The transaction text is stored securely for authentication.
• Verification Delays: Ticket issuance is not automated. Manual verification by administrative staff is conducted within twenty-four (24) to forty-eight (48) hours. Tickets are invalid if the corresponding payment transaction is cancelled, disputed, or found to be fraudulent.
• Strict No-Refund Policy: All Ticket purchases are final. Except at the Institute's sole, written, and absolute discretion, no refunds will be granted for any reason, including but not limited to absence, travel delays, schedule changes, or personal emergencies.
• Discretionary Refund Requests: Under exceptional circumstances, a written refund request may be reviewed. Such requests must be submitted directly to info@buildingbeyondyouinstitute.com at least fourteen (14) days prior to the start of the scheduled Event in your selected city.

The Institute works diligently to ensure a premium Event experience, but reserves the following operational rights:

• Operational Changes: The Institute reserves the right to modify the specific physical venue, event dates, agenda timings, or featured speakers without prior warning. Such changes do not entitle Attendees to refunds.
• Event Postponement or Cancellation: In the highly unlikely event that a specific city convening is cancelled or indefinitely postponed, your registration will automatically be transferred and remain valid for a rescheduled or future Event.
• Limitation on Travel Costs: Under no circumstances shall the Building Beyond You Institute, its affiliates, partners, or staff be liable for travel, accommodation, flight booking, visa, or incidental costs incurred by the Attendee as a result of Event changes, postponement, or cancellation.

To maintain a professional, secure, and respectful environment, all Attendees must adhere to this Code of Conduct during the Event:

• Professional Demeanor: Attendees are expected to interact with speakers, staff, venue operators, and fellow participants in a professional, courteous, and respectful manner.
• Zero Harassment: We maintain a strict zero-tolerance policy for harassment, discrimination, hate speech, offensive remarks, intimidating behavior, or disruption of sessions. The Institute reserves the right to immediately remove any Attendee violating this standard, without warning and without refund.
• Recording and Broadcast: Audio or video recording of complete presentation sessions is strictly prohibited without the express, prior written consent of the Institute. Photography and short social media clips are welcomed, provided they do not disrupt the presentation or violate session guidelines.

All content, presentation slides, physical materials, curriculum notes, handouts, visual assets, branding, logos, trademarks, and technological systems associated with the Event are the exclusive intellectual property of the Building Beyond You Institute.

Attendees are granted a highly restricted, personal, non-transferable, and revocable license to access and review Event materials for personal, non-commercial business training purposes.

You may not reproduce, distribute, publicly display, transmit, modify, sell, license, or compile any of our materials without the express, written authorization of the Institute. The name "Building Beyond You", the "BBY" acronym, and the associated branding are protected trademarks.

Your privacy is of vital importance to us. The details of how we handle personal data are fully described in our comprehensive Privacy Policy, which is integrated into these Terms by reference.

By submitting a registration and using the Platform, you explicitly consent to the collection, secure storage, transfer, and processing of your personal data as outlined. We share essential data with vetted third-party service providers (including Brevo for sending transactional emails and Render for secure cloud database hosting) to execute Platform functionalities.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable laws:

• Exclusion of Consequential Damages: The Institute, its directors, officers, employees, or agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, punitive, exemplary, or consequential damages, including loss of profits, revenue, or business opportunities, arising from or related to your registration, participation in the Event, or use of the Platform.
• Financial Liability Cap: The maximum aggregate liability of the Institute to any individual Attendee, whether in contract, tort (including negligence), or otherwise, shall be strictly limited to the actual price paid by the Attendee for their Ticket.
• Technical Interruptions: The Institute is not responsible for technical outages, M-Pesa carrier delays, SMS validation failures, hosting server downtimes on Render, or internet connectivity issues beyond our reasonable operational control.

These Terms, and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them, shall be governed by, interpreted, and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, without giving effect to any choice of law rules.

Any dispute, controversy, or claim arising out of or relating to these Terms, including the validity, invalidity, breach, or termination thereof, shall be referred to and finally resolved by binding arbitration in accordance with the Arbitration and Mediation Act of Nigeria. The place of arbitration shall be Lagos, Nigeria, and the proceedings shall be conducted in the English language.

The Institute reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to modify, update, or replace these Terms at any time.

In the event of material updates that affect your registration or rights, we will notify you by sending an email to the address provided during registration or by posting a prominent alert notice on the Platform. The "Last Updated" date at the top of these Terms will be revised accordingly.

Your continued use of the Platform or attendance at the Event following the posting of modifications constitutes absolute acceptance of the updated Terms.
